
TFM Spring Energized Seal
The Spring energized Seal is a pressure-assisted seal with a Teflon jacket and is specially equipped with a corrosion-resistant metal inflatable seal. When a spring-loaded seal is installed under normal conditions, the spring is compressed and the lip of the clamping sleeve is pushed against the seal groove to create a seal.
The spring provides elasticity to the sealing jacket and compensates for wear of the functional material and offsets or eccentricity of the working part. System pressure helps the sealing jacket store energy. Effective sealing can be achieved at high or low pressures through spring force and system pressure.
The spring energy sealing ring is installed in the groove, and the spring is compressed to form an outward tensile force, causing the sealing lip to press against the sealing groove. In addition, system pressure will help the spring store energy, and the higher the pressure, the more fully the sealing lip fits into the groove, forming a high-pressure seal.
The spring energy storage sealing ring jacket is processed from polytetrafluoroethylene and filled with polytetrafluoroethylene or other high-performance polymer materials, sealing most liquids, chemicals, and gases.
There are various forms of metal springs to choose from, including C-type, V-type, H-type, etc.
