Spiral back up ring, also called spiral elastic back up ring, is made by rolling flat metal wire, after heat 

treatment and surface treatment, it has good elasticity and toughness.

Spiral back up rings are widely used in hydraulic parts assembly, valves, instruments, various lock core 

components, needle bearings, pulleys, connectors, quick connectors and other mechanical equipment.

The spiral back up ring can be made of a variety of materials, such as spring steel, stainless steel, copper

and other metal materials, which can be easily produced. At present, the commonly used spiral retaining

ring materials on the market are 65Mn, stainless steel 304 (usually used in the United States), 316, 17 

-7PH, beryllium bronze alloy and high temperature alloy materials are used in some occasions.
