EPDM 82 Shore KTW black is often used in the foodstuffs and drinking water segments.There are special approvals for this purpose in accordance with FDA, KTW and W270.
The KTW - W270 certification means that product components in contact with drinking water have been tested and approved by German laboratories (TZW and DVGW) according to the recommendations of the UBA (Umwelt Bundesamt). The specificity of this approval is to be one of the most restrictive in terms of lubricants composition restriction.
KTW and W270 are the most recognized requirements for German manufacturers in the water and beverages sector. Because of the representativeness of Germany in the European economy, these certifications become essential.

O-Rings offer the designer an efficient and economical sealing element for a wide range of static or dynamic applications.Inexpensive production methods and its ease of use have made the EPDM 82 Shore KTW black O-Ring the most widely used seal.A wide choice of elastomer materials for both standard and special applications allow the O-Ring to be used to seal practically all liquid and gaseous media.
O-Rings are vulcanised in moulds and are characterised by their circular form with annular cross section. The dimensions of the O-Ring are defined by the inside diameter d1 and the cross section d2. Cross sections of approx. 0.35 to 40 mm and inside diameters up to 5,000 mm and more are available.
