KAFLON® FKM RGD O-Rings are specially developed sealing solutions designed to withstand Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) conditions commonly found in high-pressure oil and gas environments.

When elastomer seals are exposed to high-pressure gases such as methane, CO₂, or natural gas, gas molecules can permeate into the rubber compound. During sudden pressure drops, trapped gas expands rapidly, potentially causing blistering, cracking, or seal failure.
